heemer77 (3827), Savannah, Missouri, USA Oct 31, 2008 Opaque light amber body with a large eggshell white head. The aroma has some lemon juice and a little bit of black pepper. There is also a strange herbal note. The taste is light lemon pudding with some hints of black pepper. There is also some woody dryness in the finish. Gets more annoying as you drink. Like straight lemon peels. Decent. ucusty (1240), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Oct 30, 2008 Thanks to Solan for the bottle! Hazy gold pour big fluffy white head and decent lace. Lemon and bread on the nose. Bread flavor with hints of citrus and tropical fruit. Slightly acidic finish. Ughsmash (3148), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 20, 2008 Thanks to Blake for bringing the bottle. Poured hazy duller golden with a nice cap of white head and sticky lacing. The aroma was soft and bready with a touch of lemon and some floral accents.. quite yeasty with some banana and a little pineapple behind.. wonderfully balanced. The flavor had the same bready base with dusty yeast throughout.. light pineappley bitterness surrounded.. again great balance. Lighter-bodied and a little tangy on the palate with a lovely oaky impression.. really, really good! 1FastSTi (2423), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Oct 15, 2008 Beer recommended by pepsican. Thanks! This was freaking awesome. Imagine a floral pilsener. The beer pours to a murky pale yellow body with a foamy white head. The aroma is noble hops and simple grains but is VERY clean. Very well made. The flavor is extremely clean with nice noble hops and simple pale malts. Lavender. I could drink this beer every night. It has a perfect palate that is medium-light bodied and a crisp refreshing feel with perfect texture. Fantastic! I’d definitely buy this again regardless that it was expensive. Beerlando (1458), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottle, courtesy SoLan. The body is a hazy yellow color. A small, bubbly, off-white head leaves some nice flares of lace behind. A unique blend of fresh cut wheat and rye grain aromas is met with a lightly acidic, citrusy overtone, candied lemon rind, and just a drop of honey sweetness. Flavors follow suit, light and crisp lemon is cut with perfectly subtle rye and wheat grains drizzled with clover honey. Freshness exudes from the glass, and that is clearly the key here. Light to medium bodied, balanced, and easy drinking, this would make for a fantastic summertime session brew if it weren’t cost prohibitive.
