To sweet for me. wunderbier (1261), Finland Sep 15, 2007 A head of medium stature, foamy and white, quickly reduces to nothingness atop a clear and flat copper hued body. First aromatic impression is of alcohol, grape soda and Ring-Pops. After that, straw and grass shyly enter the fray. Fainter still, toast with a light coating of ready-made caramel apple dip. The flavour is quite sweet as was expected and the finish brings a nigh retch-inducing buzzsaw of fruity sugar and alcohol--something akin to putting an insane quantity of vodka into a bottle of grape Gatorade. The aftertaste is awash with a cardboard staleness, but is thankfully short lived. Fuller than average body carries a tacky texture and typical carbonation. And did I mention the alcohol? This is pretty much a lost cause, though somewhat drinkable at near freezing temperatures. But then, I wasn’t expecting much from an 8% abv beer sold for 0,35€. 33cl can, Duvel tulip, bbe 03/08.
