cornhusker01 (76), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Aug 30, 2003 For a dark beer, Becks is surprisingly mild. The sweet aftertaste was there as advertised. I liked its flavor but expected more from a dark beer.
lithy (385), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 28, 2008 Dark but clear reddish-brown with a thin layer of light whitish brown head that settles to a cover. Leaves a sheet of lacing around the glass. Lightly toasted malts, little nuttiness. Taste nondescript sweet malts, light nuttiness again, mild metallic and light bitterness in the finish. HonkeyBra (509), Lemont, Illinois, USA Nov 27, 2008 Yeah, its dark and that’s the only redeeming quality. It tastes metallic, and is uninteresting and terrible. I mean, I’ve never had a skunked dark beer before. Avoid. llbjr77 (70), Largo, Florida, USA Nov 20, 2008 Good drinking beer. Pours a deep dark color with light head. Tastes malts and slight caramel. After taste is nice. Many restaurants have this as a dark beer and is much better than any of the macro American brews. blutt59 (948), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 23, 2008 bottle, dark amber color, clumpy foam, nose is skunked , flavor is a metallic bitterness with a cocoa, licorice finish thornecb (1223), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Oct 11, 2008 Pours cola colored into a stein.
