Commercial Description:
Beck's Dark is rich and smooth with a lingering, slightly sweet aftertaste. The deep ebony color is the result of specially roasting the barley malt. Unlike dark ales, Beck's Dark is a bottom-fermented lager which creates a robust flavor and full body while retaining the refreshing properties of a lager beer.

For a dark beer, Becks is surprisingly mild. The sweet aftertaste was there as advertised. I liked its flavor but expected more from a dark beer.

Dark but clear reddish-brown with a thin layer of light whitish brown head that settles to a cover. Leaves a sheet of lacing around the glass. Lightly toasted malts, little nuttiness. Taste nondescript sweet malts, light nuttiness again, mild metallic and light bitterness in the finish.

Yeah, its dark and that’s the only redeeming quality. It tastes metallic, and is uninteresting and terrible. I mean, I’ve never had a skunked dark beer before. Avoid.

Good drinking beer. Pours a deep dark color with light head. Tastes malts and slight caramel. After taste is nice. Many restaurants have this as a dark beer and is much better than any of the macro American brews.

Pours cola colored into a stein. Off-white head recedes to skim surface. Slight skunk and metal. Lasting dusty cocoa finish.
