Draft at Carlsens Kvarter. Hazy orange-red with a low but strong head. Very potent hoppy aroma: citric and pine-like. And then ... well the flavours just hit me so hard that goose bumps began crawling up my arm, so I found myself sitting with a smile as if bliss had entered me through my mouth. Hopfix is both aggresively hoppy and yet sweet like caramel. It has a metallic feeling that isn’t in any way unpleasant and a nice oily palate. A master piece!

Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a very murky, amber with a beige head. Aroma, wow, great sharp clean pine with some caramel, very clean. Flavor is very nice, sharp pine, some caramel, nice, clean sharp bitter. Mouth feel is medium body with low-medium carbonation. Overall, this is a VERY nice IPA!

Bottled at Örebro Öl- och Whiskeyfestival. Hazy amber, small airy head. Sweaty lychee aroma. Sweet and medium-ful bodied with well rounded mouthfeel and low carbonaion. Soft doughy malt is the foundation for an onslaught of hops giving a tropical fruit flavour and a powerful but unassaulting bitterness.

Lots of fruity hops just the way I like it. Also a nice smooth mouthfeel. Beer Here delivers again.

Dark amber color with a rather small off-white head that sticks around for a while and leaves big chunks of sticky lacings all around the glass as it settles. As I pour it into my glass, hop aromas already start to spread around the room. And surly, the smell is dominated by a fairly "green" aggressive hop profile. Lots of tropical fruits, especially grapefruit, and hop resins. Some pine-needles and perfumy aromas of soap and candlegrease. The malts have a hard time breaking through the hops, but every now end then they make it and delivers notes of caramel and some rye bread. A nice smell, but it’s a little aggressive and tangy. The taste is actually way more compliant than I had expected. Of course, it’s not mild or bland, but still rather easy to handle. Plenty of semi-green hop aromas abound, but they lack some definition. It’s hard to pinpoint any components except for a general taste of tropical fruits and some pine-needles. Lots of soft malts with notes of caramel and rye bread. A hint of vanilla. Lots of sweetness. The finish isn’t as bitter as I would have liked it to be, and this is really too bad, because it lowers my impression of the beer. I think the smooth texture and comparably big body alleviates the bitterness to some extent. Plenty of hop resins, pine-needles, lemon-peel and a hint of malts in the finish. The beer is almost ridiculously smooth, almost like velvet. Very gentle carbonation, and this adds to the smoothness and makes the beer seem fuller than most IPA:s. It’s not as sticky as most IPA:s either. I like it, but I don’t know if it’s for the advantage of the hops, I think they are somewhat restrained by it since it mellows everything out. This is a good beer, but I would like to believe that Beer Here can do better than this. I’ve had other beers from the brewery that had much more interesting and flavorful hop profiles than this one. But still, it’s a tasty beer and very easy to drink. Serving type: bottle (Copy of old Beer Advocate review)

Bottle picked up at a Aakjærs, Esbjerg, Denmark, Oct 2009 consumed 26-10-09 Pours amber with a white head. There is a good hoppy clean nose to this beer. Some freshly rubbed hops and resin come through, its a wonderful aroma. Taste is all about the hops but there is a nioce sweet bed of malt to carry this through in some style. Loved this and stopped taking notes, it was great just to savour, Loz loved this to. A8 A4 F8 P5 Ov16 4.1
