| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Papsoe hooks it up again. Pours a murky reddish brown, no head at all. Aroma is dominated by cherries, with notes of oak, some light spices, with some strong acetic notes. Flavor is much milder than anticipated, there is a strong wood presence, with the sour notes rounding things out. But as it warms, this is becoming way to acetic for me.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2009 A Mes rate. Bottle at home thanks muchly to Puzzl. Dirty dark red brown with no head at all. Exploded out of the bottle on opening sadly so we lost at least a third of a 25cl bottle. A solid sour cherry beer with a distinctly aged character. Reminds me very much of something I’d buy at the Kulminator. Some sherry and cognac type notes with an unusual sour hit that doesn’t seem to come from anywhere but is rather controlling. Very lactic and tart indeed. Amazed at how well the alcohol is hidden. It doesn’t even feel like 5% let alone 11%. It’s a funny one really, I’m struggling to find much to say. Maybe I’ll just say it’s a reasonable sour cherry beer and leave it at that before this rate turns into a semi inebriated ramble. Madsnp (627), Odense C, Denmark

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 27, 2009 It is beautiful, dark red with a very small head. The aroma has notes of sour cherries, wood, blackberries and red wine. The flavor is sweet and refreshingly sour with notes of cherries, wood, light balsamico, toffee, blackberries, red wine and the finish is dry. It’s a truly nice surprise, tasty, harmonic and nice! yngwie (5000), Kristiansand, Norway
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 22, 2009 Bottle. It pours almost as headless as the cross Black Sabbath told us about, just a tiny rim of beige bubbles. The body is unclear, and reddish brown in color. The aroma is of the complex type, with tart cherries, balsamic vinegar and alcohol the most dominant, followed by vanilla, sugary notes, marzipan and some potent red wine. As it warms up a bit, there’s a pleasant touch of oxidation to be found as well. The flavor follows the same path as the aroma, with lots of mouth puckering tart cherries and acids, still with a sort of balancing sweetness. The mouthfeel can be compared to that of a red wine, maybe a bit thinner, and quite velvety. Vanilla notes, alcohol, berries and marcipan. The finish is quite lemony sour and tart, with wood and cherries coming after a while. And in the very end, some alcohol fires up and warms the mouth and throat. Yet another masterpiece from CSA. 090922
