Dark red coloured and very fruity. Some wheat and malt flavour. Slightly bitter warming dry finish.

Feb 13, 2004 Rather a curious ale. Very deep mahogany colour. Extremely pungent whisky malt aroma and flavour. A bit harsh. Quite interesting but lacks the sufficient balancing bite to make this a really satisfying beer. Cask (gravity), Battersea beer Festival.

Jan 27, 2003 [Cask ale at Charlie's Bar, Copenhagen] Very dark brown, almost black, with a small but creamy off-white head. The flavour is rather dry and mild with lots of malty notes. The carbonation is low. It is a bit like a watered down version of Guiness.
