Bottle brought by JoeTheYounger to Hophead22 house..One of the better beers we got to try that day..Pours black with an off white head..I would describe the aroma as a hoppy sweetness..The flavor was dark chocolate with a nice hop bite. The hoppiness really worked for this beer. Very very nice.

I brought this bottle to Hophead22 beer tasting. This was a birthday gift from my buddy Pat, who purchased it at Lone Hill Liquor in Glendora, CA. Very good fresh hop aroma. Very different for an imperial stout. I really really liked this one. Awesome stuff. I want to go buy some more.

2008 edition. A very pleasant surprise. I wouldn’t call it hoppy, but definitely aromatic and toasty. Seems to have smoothed out quite a bit with just a year of age. Dangerously drinkable and tasty.

Bomber from Del Cerro. Very dark in color. Doesn’t seem as dark as the original release. Some roasted malt qualities in the nose with a huge hop aroma. Super hoppy scent for a stout. Very nice roasted flavors with some coffee and chocolate. Great hoppiness as well. The bitter hoppy finish gives this beer a really nice drink-ability for its hugeness.

Bottle: Poured a deep black with a brown accented edges, head was tan. Aroma is hops which somewhat hide the coffee and roasted malt. Taste is coffe bean and malt, the hops seemed to blend well instead of over shadowing the stout experience. Rather delightful beer!

Bottle: Dark brown pour with a nice sized creamy brown head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma is roasty malt and a deep citrus hop presence peeking through. Tastes roasty and of light coffee with a lingering citrus hop bitterness. Some light cocoa as well. I love the addition of a hoppy presence over the original. Outside of the realm of many impys and imho, much better!

Bottle w/ wicky. super green!!! a bit thinner than you’d expect for 11% ... flavor teems w/ an abundance of hoppiness tagging along w/ the chocolate base. Very tasty and well done

Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing it! Pours a bubbly deep dark brown with a tan head. Huge aroma, hops, pine, citrus, with wood, malt, and dark fruits. Taste of bitter hops, toasted malt, chocolate, and pine. Lingering bitter malt flavors. Very weird but it works.
