Bomber. Pours very thickly from the bottle, black with orange at the extremities. It took a violent pour to get a tiny wisp of a tan head, but it lasted a long time. The aroma is wood, vanilla, alcohol, cold coffee, ash, and pine. The flavor is some coffee and chocolate at first, but then an aggressive piney bitterness takes over. Some sweet vanilla and earth tones float around in the middle as it continues to get bitter into the finish, which is dominated by caramel and pine. The aftertaste is very nutty. Not bad, but then again, I like hoppy imperial stouts.

Pours a black color with a brown head. Aroma is roasty, chocolate, toasty, and biscuit. Flavor is malty, roasty, chocolate, toasty, and a bitter hoppy finish.

22 ounce bottle purchased at the Covell Nugget in Davis, CA. Can’t say I have ever heard of these brewers. The bottle was priced $9.99, so it better not be shit. Aroma is awkward...there is a solvent and cidery quality to it. Almost smells like acetone. There is also some burnt anise present. Mildly transparent dark brown body with a decent tan head that has good staying-power. Fine, bubbly lacing. Starts burnt with just a flash of sweetness. A touch of coffee is there. Finishes with a ton of ashy, highly bitter, medicinal black patent malts. All of the hops impart aspirin flavors, which is a real turnoff. Not enjoyable at all. The finish dominates this beer, which really fails to show me any quality craftsmanship. Another big, flawed, imperial beer that is just not good.

tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad...mixed bag of reviews on this one.... poured a deep dark brown with lighter brown edges accompanied with a flimsy wispy light brown head.... aroma was made up of sweet chocolate, dark fruits, molasses, and a lot of booze.... flavors included rich bittersweet chocolate and was still a little too boozy.....this one was a little too hot.

Bomber. One hoppy aroma backed by burnt and toasted malt. Could be some chocolate and medium dark fruit. Complex. Opaque brown/black color with only a couple of bubbles for head. Full bodied with an oily texture. Extremely mild, creamy carbonation. The flavor is hop citric over really darkly roasted malt. Plus fruit, chocolate, and coffee as it finishes. Plus I think there’s resin in this hop mix. It’s not really all that bitter, just really smooth. Course it really is bitter. Must be fairly well balanced. An experience not to be missed.

Bottled (Thanks omhper). Opaque black colour with small brown head. Aroma is roast, alcohol, fruits, yeast and hops. Flavour is very much the same with some mild vanilla, old coffee and salted licorice. Rather out of balance for my taste with all the sweetish sour stuff mixed into it.

Bottled. thanks to omhper! Pours out in a opaque black colour with a beige creamy lasting head. Big aroma of black coffee, black chocolate, tar with a strong presence of leafy, minty and citric hops. Big and uncompromising flavour and mouthfeel of black bitter coffee, grapefruit, mint, pine-needles and cocoa. Long bitter finish of grapefruit, menthol, coffee, pepper and alcohol. Extravagant and bold stuff.
