Poured from a 22 oz. bottle; watery red. Pine and orange hop aroma with lots of healthy, woody bitterness; brown sugar, very clean, with some tinny honey and pilsener malt sweetness. Tepid vanilla and earthy hop flavor of florals and cool pine; simplistic. No depth of malt. Palate is very thin, softly carbonated, with no show of alcohol; barren cascade finish. Hardly a barleywine; a very halfhearted attempt within any style. Thanks for sharing, Bob!

Poured a hazy deep orange-amber color with a medium sized off-white head. Fruity malt aroma with some notes of oranges. Sweet fruity malt flavor. A good bit of tangerine taste. Mild bitterness with a medium body. Warming in the chest with mild alcohol in the flavor.

Craig don’t know if it made it to valley yet but got a 22oz bottle from LS with abyss order. One of the stangest aromas for a barley wine so far almost like aftershave or perfume, floral. Copper body with average head and plenty of lacing. Flavor was odd at first but by second glass barley grain like most barley wines with alcohol taking over. Left a floral aftertaste on plaate. One of those complex brews that well judge for yourself a sample maybe enough of this one. ODD BREW.

22 oz bottle shared by Ironschefscott in the Lost abbey release party line. Amber/copper pour with decent head. Aromas of raisin and molasses. Similar flavors, but as it warmed up, it got a little cardboardy. Still not bad.

This was a 22 oz bottle that set me back $5.99 from Market of Choice in Ashland, Oregon. In my Duvel glass this was an orange to amber with some particles floating in the glass. Nose is floral hops, with s little fruit. Body and mouthfeel medium, and light for a Barley Wine. Flavor shows caramel malts, floral and citrus hops, and some spiciness. Finish shows alcohol. Drinkable, but seems like it could use some aging.

Shared at Lost Abbey Angel Share Bourbon Release line tasting. I thought this was a nice barley wine.

Draft @ the AZ Strong Beer Fest and 22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a medium size off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is toasted malt, light esters, and floral hops. Flavor is a nicely balanced hop and malt mixture. Medium body. A decent BW.

22 oz bottle from South Bay Drugs. Appeared in my glass as a glooming orange with speckles of sediment seen and was topped by a sticky lacing of foam head. The aroma was a mellow abundance of smells such as wheat bread, rye, grained malt and a nice touch of flower and hops. As for the flavor, it was a somewhat hidden with minimal amounts of hops and bread flavored malts to be found. A decent tasty offering to be drank but not a brew to go spread the word about it.
