| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle:   Orange hued golden, hazy, large foamy white head, fairly sticky lacing.   Semi-sweet citrus rind and flora on the nose.   Musty and/or barnish citrus like malts on the tongue.   Not as bright or floral as the nose suggested.   In fact, it is rather dull and flat.   Don’t get me wrong, its still a decent beer, just not as bright as it seemed.   The 9% ABV is well hidden.   Finishes with dull, yet not biting, citrus peel.   Hops are there, but are secondary to the citrus rind.   Lingering rind.   Good beer, nothing wrong with it, but it doesn’t seem big enough to be an IIPA.   A good 1½ IPA.

Fairly nice aroma of American hops, also notes of crystal malts and some caramel. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Crazy 8’s all the way down. It makes sense too. Pouring a heady beer in an old fashioned glass. Then we really know how we feel about IT. Lots of froth, stanky and dank. Fresh hops, like the bag(s) of hops in my closet. Off dry, nothing too significant but full and semi spicey. Clean. clean. clean. can’t say it enuff! No harsh bitterness just a full clean hop taste. If this beer were a buddy it would be the chronic 2009! watson1977 (277), , Pennsylvania, USA
