22oz bottle from BevMo Mission Valley. Pours a medium orange amber with a nice frothy off white head. Nose was bursting with citrus fruits and pine. A subtle malt backbone gave way to more hoppy madness. A very underrated beer.

Medium orange-amber with a thick, puffy, off-white head. Full aroma of dark citrus and resiny hops along with sweet malt and alcohol. Flavor is full of dense bitterness, caramelized citrus peel malt. Big, clunky body with a huge malt presence and alcohol in a warm finish. Not berfectly balanced but not necessarily out of balance. Somewhat one-dimensional double IPA.

An absolutely wonderful floral aroma. This is really nice. Relatively smooth considering the abundance of hops throughout. Not overly bitter. Excellent.

Bottle. Light amber color, thin white layer of head. Grassy hops, biscuity malts underneath, a hint of cardboard. Hops had an old musky astringency and doesn’t mix well over the malts. Kind of murky.

Strong floral aroma with light pine and a touch of grapefruit skin. Pours a hazy golden tone with a gigantic head. Sweet and malty initially followed by a strong hoppy bitterness. Floral and piney, a little astringent. Lots of floral perfumey bitterness lingers in the mouth.

Big-time drink for serious IPA-fans only. Cloudy golden body with a huge billowing head. Moderate caramel sweetness with a very nice bready malt character. Floral hops all over the place with a good pine component and light citrus tones. Full bodied, creamy smooth mouthfeel. Everything you want out of a PNW IPA. Glad I picked this one up.

bright leafy pine hop aroma, more pale than most iipas and an aggressive stark white head. maybe it’s the suggestive title, but i love how this beer has that full whole leaf character. it’s not as oily as others, but full bodied and stands out more with the paler malt base. beers with this quality can fall sharply, but this beer rides the wave consistently. very very nice.

RBSG ’08: Poured a hazy light brownish yellow color with a creamy off-white head. Citrusy aroma was decent but lacking. Sweet malt flavor with a pine hop end and bitter finish. Light to medium bodied.
