Smell is grass, hops, pine, and some citrus. Light bitterness begins the taste with the beer being a little coying in the mouth and ending watery. DYCSoccer17 (2192), Davis, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 21, 2008 22 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis Food Co-Op. $10...ouch. Aroma has an herbal hoppiness with some musty notes and some slight cardboard-like oxidized notes. I can’t imagine this is oxidized, seeing the bottle was very full. The bottle caps were kind of weird, though. Very weird aroma. Hazy dark honey colored body with a smallish white head. scant lacing present. Starts herbal and a bit medicinal. Not sure what kind of hops they used, but these are not your typical hops. Decent malt backbone present, but there is a weird aspirin-like hoppiness present in the end as well as some light sweetness. A bit warming. Not overly hoppy for an IIPA. Just seems subdued and muted. Not digging their hop profile on this beer. cbkschubert (1982), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Light lacing. Aroma is pine, herbal, and citrus hops and a touch of toasted malt. Flavor is mostly hops with a light malt presence. Medium body. No unpleasant aftertaste. A pretty good beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2008 Thanks to FlacoAlto for the bomber. Clear orange/amber with a large foamy head. Aroma of pine hops, biscuit and caramel malt. Very sweet, a bit warm and a floral hop taste. Syrupy-sweet texture minus the standard big tropical fruit hop presence like you might expect in an iipa. A little disappointing. Swalden28 (1510), McKinney, Texas, USA

Pours a cloudy gold with white minimal white head. Has a nice fruity aroma. Aroma consist of some grapefruit and a nice bitter. Full mouthfeel, but still seemed watery.....This beer seemed boring, no pizzazz....Did not seem like a high gravity beer.... JK (2955), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Better than average citrus hop aroma. Sweet grapefruit, especially in the aftertaste. Some malt sweetness as well. I really liked this and I am surprised to see it is rated so low for the style. raphael (415), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 13, 2008 Basic hop biterness with a squarish caramel/cardboard scent undrneath, grapefruit appearing. Cloud light amber with minimal head (from bottle), flat tasting, with a little ho edge to it. The flavor is poorly balanced, heavy on the grapefruit rind & thin. Warming finish

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2008 Bomber. Good citrus, floral and pine aromas. Copper body with off white head. Flavor is sweet citrus oranges and dry hop bitterness. Leaves the palate dry looking for a thirst quencher to balance the dry palate. Good brew.
