Strong aromatic hops, building a nice fruity aroma and a good resiny flavor; there is a good caramel flavor too, with the necessary sugar. Long final, complete, powerful too. Solid, well brewed, very pleaant. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 19, 2009 Bomber. Poured hazy medium orange, sporting a creamy, well-retained cap of eggshell head. The aroma opened with juicy peaches and apricots with lesser floral notes over sweet caramel, honey, and light maple syrup.. fine initial impression. The flavor had a whole bunch of biscuity malts paired with maple and vanilla at the core.. bitterness was a little lighter than anticipated (over the first 3/4 of the drink), with black pepper, light fruit skins, and dry floral character.. finished with tacky wet grains and biscuits topped by an assertive bitterness. Medium-plus bodied, but slick on the palate.. tacky and ugly in certain places.. just OK overall feel. There was some good stuff in here, but it wasn’t a great IIPA.
