| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2009 Nose is sweet malty, not hoppy - at least not in the big pine or citrus way. Appearance is orange and cloudy with a thick foamy head. The bottle started foaming out of the top before I even poured it. Flavor is sticky sweet syrupy malt with an intense bitter finish. This is where the hops make their appearance known. Alcohol is also noticeable in this one - not hidden by the big malt/hop profile. Drinkable, but far from my favorite 2IPA. Tall sticky white head over a fairly clear orange body.
Malty with some nice spicy hops.
Bitter with a smooth dry finish.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2009 A cloudy orange with minimal head that leaves very little lacing. The aroma is nonexistent. The flavor is pretty much all bitter with very little hop flavor, but I still enjoyed it. There are tons of IIPAs I would much prefer though. PhatB420 (136), Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | May 17, 2009 A wonderful brew here. The hops hold the base down quite frankly and the citrus aroma is a nice back bone to the superb quality of the bitterness that subsides. I love the vague presence of the honey as well, nice touch. darbish (81), Portland, Oregon, USA
