Pours a cloudy orange, with a thin white head. Sweet, caramel aroma. The flavor is only mildly sweet, and heavy on the citrus with some pine notes. Bitter, grassy finish with a slight alcohol burn.

I hate it when a beer aroma knocks your socks off with hops, tropical fruit, and malt, yet I see an average aroma rating around 7-8. Come on, people! If a hopbomb doesn;t arouse the olfactories, then I don’t know what could! The pour here is turbid orangy with 2-finger creamy white head and a lot of concentric lace rings. Nose is caramel malt, tangerine, canteloupe, hops. Tastes caramel malty, with resiny hops, white pepper, citrus, grapefruit, and a rich, smooth, creamy palate. This one is criminally underrated.

Bottle (pretty fresh as they have only just restocked this after carrying the Hop Harvest edition). Pours with a largish bone colored, creamy white head that leaves lacing as it resides down. Hazy orangey-yellow body. Very, very strong lace. Aroma is nice and hopped, very fresh, mango, citrus and grass. A good amount of caramel too. A bit of vanilla and alcohol esters as well. Taste is very clean and not as hoppy as I would like. Alcohol and caramel come through first. A bit of pine and bitterness on the finish. Dry and clean. Not lingering. Good DIPA, but I could imagine that this would degrade quickly into a very "ho-hum" beer. Drink Fresh.

22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy orange amber with a big white head. Grassy hop aroma with a bit of citrus, malt and yeast. Malty flavor up front giving way to a bitter and grassy hop finish.

22oz bottle 3/7/09 (Courtesy of after4ever)-Pours a hazy orange with a huge tight off white head. The aroma is of hops, citrus, and more hops. Taste begins with hops and a little malt that continues throughout and finishes with a nice dryness. This medium bodied beer is quite tasty and well balanced.

New brewery for me, Leafer Madness and the brewery name, Beer Valley were a bit confusing for me. However, the 2XIPA was a straight-up citrus filled ale with a light yellow medium body and a balance with the malts. Sampled @ World Cafe Live BBQ, Beats & Brewfest.

Deep hazy amber coloured body with a potent orange glow and a dense tan head - looks very nice. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus, pine, grapefruits and a bunch of malt. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive hoppiness with fresh piney and citrusy hops tucked into a bunch of malt, sugars and a lot of alcohol. Aftertaste shows some character, with nuts and toffee coming through most. Overall, a good beer - more like a typical IPA than an Imperial, but still showing a lot of body and alcohol. I enjoyed this, but would have preferred a normal IPA more. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased on 07-February-2009 from Lee’s Discount Liquor in Las Vegas, Nevada, sampled on 28-February-2009 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
