| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 12, 2008 Courtesy of Skyview. Copper color with a large head. Citrusy aroma. Very leafy hop taste, like I just buried my face into a handful of fresh hops. Bitter, acidic taste. A little caramel malt body. Skyview (4055), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 11, 2008 Picked up a single 22-oz bomber from Liquid Solutions in Portland, OR. Pours a semi-clear golden amber brew with a thick off-white head that dissipates to a thin creamy head and some spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus zest, some light caramel malt, a touch of toffee and some white pine. Taste is quite dry bitter, medium bodied, with flavors of light caramel malt, pine, grapefruit and some vegetable. Finish is dry bitter with a lingering grapefruit aftertaste. One of the more heavy bitter APA that would challenge an IPA character beer. bb (2919), Martinez, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 29, 2008 Bottle. Amber beer with a nice cream colored head. Big citrus aroma over a bit of malt. Piney, caramel, citrus flavor. Medium body. Lingering caramel, citrus, and pine. IPA-light. Decent bitterness. Reid (1090), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2008 Dark golden alomost burnt orange beer, with a very large off white head, thats very thick.
Aroma pretty strong citus style hopping, malts weakly behind.
Very hoppy even for a West Coast Pale. Citric hops, all through, weak malt backing, hops wear out a bit in the middle of the mouthful, then re-emerge in all their glory in the back of the throat and linger ever after.
Nice enough on the palate, nothing extraordinary for style.
Over all a nice hoppy Pale. on the verge of IPA territory spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2008 Powerfull APA. Huge head, bitter citrus hops, enough malt sweetness to try to balance. Would drink this anytime offered.
Damn good APA. cathcacr (588), Portland, Oregon, USA
