| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 29, 2005 On tap at BeerWorks Fenway, 7/2/2005. Listed as "Millar Lite" but I can’t imagine that was much different than their generic brewpub light lager. Appears a golden-straw, very light-toned, with a lightly foamy/bubbly film on the top. Moderate amount of bubbles rising. Aroma has some light soap and sugar, hints of lager yeast and a touch of sweet corn. Flavor begins with a clean, dry pale malt, not exactly honey-sweet, but decidedly clean and inoffensive. Body, for a light lager, was respectable, being crisp and refreshing, not heavy or sluggish and not overcarbonated. Little variation from sip to sip, but no stale or adjuncty flavors on the finish. Perhaps a bit of salt and seltzer water suggestions, but mainly just pale grains. No one expected much out of this one, but everyone was impressed. But then, I knew Jodie is a talented brewer, so I’m not surprised afterall. Why don’t they just call it Mueller Lite? Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Sep 10, 2002 Perhaps the bar-keep got the lager and the light mixed up? Very light color. At first taste, a light spiciness, but then nothing. No interest whatsoever. Earlier Rating: 9/10/2002 Total Score: 2 Interestingly, not as light-colored (side-by-side) as their lager, blonde, or Bambino ale. Wheaty, long finish, but plain. It started to let down into watery dullness, but for a "light" (compared to Bud Light, etc. etc.) this isn’t that repulsive. But, it’s not a "clean" flavor either. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
