Attractive aroma of citrus and pine with subdued caramel in the background. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with moderate bitterness. The flavor profile was hop dominated with plenty of pine and less citrus. As with the aroma, the pale malt flavor was mostly an afterthought. I liked it, though. nimbleprop (947), SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2009 On tap at the Fenway location. Transparent orange amber with a thin, slightly frothy, slightly lacing white head. Aroma was fairly standard for an IPA, flowers, spices, standard citrus. Flavor was similar, some sweet malts, slight candy, oranges, lemons, a touch of spice. Finish was a little watery, slightly sweet, slightly bitter. Probably the best beer on tap, but doesn’t blow your socks off. Gethinbeer (1006), Nova Scotia, Canada

Spice, hops with a floral flavour. Well hopped IPA. Tidy pint. zapprentice (312), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 22, 2009 Tap at Beer Works near the Garden. Nice hoppy aroma, but very dead after the initial smell. Tastes of slight hops quickly going to a watery ending. Not very impressed with this beer Lubiere (4552), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 11, 2009 A golden IPA with a thin white head. Lightly hopped aroma, very restrained. In mouth, a decent IPA, with sustained final hops, but lacking in malts and body. Overall, run of the mill and simple. On tap at Fenway brewpub, Oct. 12 2008. ajm (965), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2009 Pint at Fenway. Really cold, really great coloring with thick cask-like head. Aroma of instant peach plus heavy flower, really bitter hop and mineral. Flavor focuses on the bitterness of the lupulus. Kind of one-note and seriously carbonated. mansquito (845), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2009 I got the cask conditioned version of this beer. It has an amber color and an off-white head that lasts for a little bit. Piny hops and burnt sugar are what I got out of the nose. Rather hoppy taste at the front that drops off and reveals some of the malty undertones. The finish is then bitter and lingers a little in the aftertaste. Not overly complex but certainly full of flavour. No complaints really for me. BREWMUSKCLES (1088), New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2008 seemed too light in color from the keg this ale is nicely hopped and complex and in competition with it’s own quality malt flavor. a hop and barley mash fragrance it has a sour off flavor weaving in and out only making it more interesting and genuine. solid yet not overpowering with a craftsmans mix of grapefruit and infused pine flavors. good finish clean and not abrupt with well matched alcohol. i like brews like this that are wholly satisfying but yet quite drinkable. i say, a bit of a treat!
