Commercial Description:
A hop lover's delight, this American India Pale Ale is brewed with over 1.5 lbs. of hops per barrel. As with all IPAs, this beer is higher in alcohol, hop aroma and bitterness than regular pale ales, and you don't have to sail to India to enjoy it.

On tap at both Boston locations. Pours a yellow golden with a small white head. Nose is of citrus and spruce. Sprucey hop flavor that really gets old after you’ve had 3+ pints of this stuff.

Sampled both regular and cask at Fenway location. Cask is significantly smoother, better looking, and better tasting. Rating reflects cask version. Medium yellow beer with a good white head. smells like jasmine tea and grass. Cask version is mellow with a smooth palate. Beer is very hopped with a grassy hop kick of a finish. nicely done. aroma was barely detectable at first, hops bloomed as beer warmed.

This pours copper with a medium head. It has th classic citrus notes forn the hops but on the mouthfeel you get a sweeter than overly bitter flavor. It finishes balanced with light notes of bitterness.

Sample from cask at the brewpub in Canal street. Pours hazy orange with almost no head. Citric fruity and floral aroma with more decernable maltiness. Flavour is fruity hops with a soft caramel malt base. Goes into a good bitterness in the finish. More malty than the tap version, still with a good bitterness.

Sample from tap at the brewpub in Canal street. Pours orange clear with a creamy off-white head. Citric fruity and floral aroma. Flavour is fresh fruity hops with a soft malt base. Goes into a good bitterness in the finish. Not as strong hoppy as described in the menu. Very nice on a hot day.

Sample at Beer Works Fenway: Dark, clear golden color with a medium white head that lasts awhile. Patchy lacing. Citrusy hops aroma with hints of pine and malt. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with a solid hops flavor backed up by some sweet malt and fruit. The finish is resiny hops yet the aftertaste does not linger long. All in all a passable effort.
