Commercial Description:
A sweet dark ale, medium body with chocolate and coffee overtones. Full flavored, but not as rich and heavy as most stouts and porters.

From the Fenway location - Poured a clear, dark reddish brown in color with a small light tan head. Aroma was of dark roasted malts with a hint of some chocolate and mild of hops. Flavor was slightly sweet with notes of caramel and flowery hops mixed in with the roasted malts. Palate was surprisingly thin, but overall a very drinkable beer.

Had on tap at the Boston Brookline location at the suggestion of the bartender. Appeared a brownish red. Had a sweet smell of nuts and malts. Taste was also of sweet mal and nuts with some mild hops coming to the front in the finish.

Tap at Canal Street Location: Amber/brown pour with a thin tan head. Chocolaty, roasted aroma; reminiscent of tootsie rolls. The upfront flavor is slightly flowery, soapy, almost mildly tart, which leads to a roasty brown sugar like finish. The flavors aren’t really harmonious or balanced, but it’s still not bad.

On draft @ Salem Beer Works with the Mad_Indian. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roast, nuts, and caramel. The flavor is slightly sweet, toasted caramel, roast, and nuts. The body was a little thin, however this brew was enjoyable.

Sampled with Stegosaurus during our second Boston Tour. Served at salem location. Brown pour with off white head. Slight roasted/caramel aroma. Taste was pretty much the same. A little thin in body but not bad at all.

Tap @ Fenway location. Pours a nice brown color with a tan head. Aroma is faint chocolate and malt. Taste is the same, though like seemingly every other beer from Beer Works it has a very nice aroma and a watery taste.
