A unique twist on the California common beers, or steam beer. Brewed with lager yeast at ale temperatures and then cold conditioned, to accentuate the ingredients. Subtley sweet maltiness with a hint of caramel, combined with a lingering hop aroma make this session beer anything but ordinary! Season: all Color: deep gold/light copper

This beer is pretty neat. It shows sweet notes of malt and fruiton the aroma and then deep into the palate. The palate seems to be of a spiced peach with a bit of bitterness.

On tap at the Salem location. Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium foamy off white lacing head. Aroma of some floral and citrus, sweet caramel malts. Flavor of toasted malts, hints of hop bitterness and lemon.

Tap. Pours a clear copper color with a small head. Nose is fruit. Very lightly carbonated. Sweet, malty and fruity, but very thin in both flavor and mouthfeel. Still a decent brew although doesn’t commit to anything.

Cask conditioned. Nicely done. Starts with toffee/caramel maltiness and finishing with a soft hoppy snap. Heavy mouthfeel. Amber in color. Well done.

Had this at the Beer Works by Haymarket. Light color with a mild taste that was ok. Kind of kick-backy.
