Mar 19, 2006 on tap-pours an offwhite head with bronze color. Aroma is medium malt, sweet, spice (cinnamon?). Taste is caramel then secondary hops. Mellow, nice.

Apr 23, 2007 On tap at the Salem location. Pours a translucent ruby amber with a medium bubbly off white lacing head. Aroma of caramel sweet malts, some floral and citrus with hints of toffee and nuts. Flavors of toasted sweet malts, some caramel and nuts along with citrus highlights.

Oct 8, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber color with thin off white head that dissipated quickly. Biscuity malt aroma with a touch of sprucy hops. Dry on the tongue and a bit spicy. Nice malty caramel flavor. Decent red.

May 10, 2005 On tap at the brewpub, listed as Red Victory: Clear orange/red with a small white head, light malts in the aroma, watery mouthfeel with light carbonation, starts and ends lightly bitter. I may have rated this too highly as I was so happy not to be drinking the iced tea beer.

Oct 27, 2007 Named the "Victory Red" when I tasted it before game 7 of the ALCS in 2007. Robust, malty and caramelly sweet nose. Poured a deep browish-golden amber with a medium-sized well-carbonated head and body. Sufficient lacing. Bready and slightly sweet, a well-crafted amber that helped the Sox take the pennant!
