This seemed to be something just put on offer, as it was on one of the rotating wipe-off placards. Unsure of its full history of why its a "cellar reserve". Excellent with a solid dinner I imagine. Silky palate, some hops tangible to give you meaning to your night, a good batch here. Earlier Rating: 10/8/2004 Total Score: 1.8 Thought this was a bit pasty and hard to go down. Good dark color, but whatever taste that’s attempted to be added here kind of torpedoes the beer. A disappointment from Boston Beer Works. SuIIy (1452), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA

Nose is lightly nutty with some very nice strong malty notes. Palate is smooth and creamy. Flavorful notes of nuts and a strong malt presence, a sour apple hint in the finish. Robust, malty and caramelly sweet nose. Poured a deep browish-golden amber with a medium-sized well-carbonated head and body. Sufficient lacing. Bready and slightly sweet, a well-crafted amber that helped the Sox take the pennant! Pwn3d (1073), Manhattan, New York, USA

Carbonation is lack a bit possible because its been 2 weeks in the growler. Despite that, its really good. Some hops and sugary sweet malts. Awesome for a Amber/Red. boto (1336), Granby, Connecticut, USA

It has a small white head and some lacing. A little better aroma than their other red. There are some spicy hops and a bit of caramel. The taste is a touch dry, with some spiciness and a good medium body. A good session beer. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
