Tap at the Salem Location: Garnished with blueberries... Thanks? Pours an effervescent lightly hazy golden with a white thin lacing head. Perfumy blueberry aroma, yet it seems like a natural fruit presence with a mild pale malt back. Light crisp body with a very mild flavor. Mild pale malt sweetness provides a light body- not much residual sugars with a touch of, again perfumy blueberry. Well attenuated with no major off flavors- just a typical light ale with fruit added. A one dimensional session.

On tap during the annual Boston/Salem/Marble head tour. Tasted at Salem. Straw pour with 1 finger white head. Obviously there was a strong blueberry aroma as the glass was actually filled with a ton of little blue berries. A bready finish and quite interesting.

On tap at Fenway location. Points for frivolity with the floating blueberries that dance with the carbonation. Nice touch. Wild floral aroma. Nice fresh fruit flavor and a mild bitterness gives this some balance. Enjoyed the rawness of this much better than a blueberry syrupy kind of brew.

The first blueberry ale I ever had. Clear yellow color darkened with purple and dark blue hues with blueberries floating through the beer. Foamy white head. Sweet blueberry aroma. On the palate is wheat, with some hop bitterness sweetened by the blueberries. This beer comes with a snack at the bottom of the glass.

16 oz draught at the Fenway location. Dark yellow pour with a tiny fizzy head that quickly dissipates. Aroma of bread and blueberries. Watery body with a sugary taste of dark berries and bread. Not too bad considering I am not a fan of fruit beers.

A golden ale with thin white head and added blueberries. I aroma, light blueberry juice aroma. In mouth, a light blonde with light blueberry notes. On tap at Fenway brewpub, Oct. 12 2008.

Draft at the Fenway Brewpub - Poured a light yellow in color with a medium white (except for the blueberry stain) head. Blueberries were frozen and kept floating up and down the glass ans they thawed... nice visual. Aroma was overpoweringly blueberry with a hint of hops in the background. Flavor is also pretty blueberry, but there is an underlying flavor of beer with plenty of hops. Very interesting... not sure that I would have again, but I enjoyed this one!

Draught at the Fenway location. Just a very average pale ale that has blueberries tossed in it. The natural flavouring good better over time as the blueberries soaked in, but the beer got rather onerous. Middle of the road all things considered but an interesting idea. Start the whole process with a better ale base and you’ve got yourself a big winner here.
