Just a very average pale ale that has blueberries tossed in it. The natural flavouring good better over time as the blueberries soaked in, but the beer got rather onerous. Middle of the road all things considered but an interesting idea. Start the whole process with a better ale base and you’ve got yourself a big winner here. gearbike (418), West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA

It is not just a sweet fruit beer. It is a great drinkable light beer. Is is a lager? And the big blueberries are just an added treat. halfonit (476), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA

Everytime I go to Boston I make sure I stop here to get a glass of this. It has a good strong ale taste, but the blueberry’s they put in it give it a nice sweet balance. Because of the carbonation in it, the blueberries are always floating to the top and then to the bottom. I love this beer. Dickinsonbeer (3497), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 1, 2008 Tap at Fenway. Pours a wierd violet tinged golden with a thin head that diminishes- they threw in some blueberries into the glass. Aroma is like a fesh baked blueberry muffin at first, but then it goes south- tons of solvent and fruity high ferm temp esters. Flavor is artificial like, crackery and reminded me of some fake cereal like frankenberry or fruit loops. Harsh astringent and solventy finish. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA

The nose is crisp and gives off scents of crisp blueberry. The blueberry is less noticable in the mouth but still aparent. This is a crisp and refreshing beer that would be quite easy to enjoy during the summer. WeeHeavySD (3040), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

I’ve been excited to have this beer since I saw it on the American beer documentary years ago. Pours gold orange with a tan head that gets purple from the blueberries taht float in the glass. Nose is very nice. Tastes a bit like a pale ale with blueberries added not really much going on here but the taste and overall experience is stellar and very unique. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

It is quite light (light amber color and light body) and average at best. The only saving grace is that it is not overly sweet and the blueberry tastes somewhat authentic (floral quality) rather than a completely artificial blueberry syrup quality. It also has a mineral quality in the finish and aftertaste. For the record, I am not against fruit beers in anyway, but this one does nothing for me.
Draught at at Beer Works (Fenway) in Boston, MA. Rating #52 for this beer...
