Oct 24, 2006 [cask @ Fenway location] Pours a murky, dark brown color. Cask conditioning provides a short-lived, dense head. Malty aroma. Flavors bready malts, some subtle fruitiness and a nice hop finish. A pretty good beer, overall.

Nov 7, 2004 tap @ fenway. i did enjoy this one. a smooth offering from beer works, a good session brew. slick and malty... a barely noticible hop presence... but that doesn’t bother me one bit.

Jan 12, 2004 Showed no sign of actually being an Alt and was basically an amber ale and a sour one at that. I drank at the brewpub near the Fleet Center and this beer SUCKED. Obviously others have had different experiences.

Oct 27, 2003 Absolutely fabulous. This beer comes with a head that's as creamy as a Boddington's. Nitro? The body is slightly bitter with a lingering aftertaste that's so good, it almost makes you forget the overpriced food you're eating. Full-flavored with appropriate malt body for its style. GABF winner.
