Commercial Description:
Brewed like the stout that made Ireland famous and named after Boston's most memorable mayor, this beer has a lot to live up to. Brewed with roasted and flaked barley and Kent Golding hops, this ale is smooth, rich and very dry.

tap @ canal. deep root beer color with ruby reflections when held up in the light... aroma of freshly ground espresso beans... creamy mouthful... quality lacing... the best part of waking up would be this stout in my cup.

O.K. but not great. Most of the stouts that I've had have had a touch of sweetness to them, which I like. This one doesn't. Drinkable, but I've had better stouts.

Dark colir with a nice head. Aroma is malty but somewhat mild. Creamy mild flavor with a bit of a bitter finish.

A decently well done, light bodied American dry stout. Roasted malt dominates the aroma, flavor, and finish, with perhaps a faint hop presence in the aftertaste. Good but nothing distinctive.

Very similar to the Nimbus Stout brew from Tucson.

Really bitter, quite dry. Some roasted malt notes, but generally lacking in flavor. Not actively bad, but nothing to go out of the way for.

Dark brown color, medium head. A medium bodied stout. Deeply roasted malts, very coffee like. Fairly hoppy. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is slightly dry and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Coffee like flavor dominates this beer. Nearly overpowering. Nice taste, but perhaps a bit over the top.
