Jun 30, 2007 Sample from tap at the brewpub in Canal street. Pours brown with an amber note. Creamy light brown head. Aroma is malty, slight roasted. Flavour is roasted dark malt almost with a coffee, dry, creamy mouthfeel and bitter into the finish.

Sep 17, 2002 Dark brown color, medium head. A medium bodied stout. Deeply roasted malts, very coffee like. Fairly hoppy. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is slightly dry and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Coffee like flavor dominates this beer. Nearly overpowering. Nice taste, but perhaps a bit over the top.

Aug 18, 2007 On draft at Canal St. location. Dark beer with a beige head that is pocked with bubble marks like the surface of the moon. Strong roasted coffee flavor, with an aftertaste that leaves you looking for grinds in the bottom of the glass. Thick head coats the sides of the glass.
