| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 12, 2004 At Canal St. Location. During sampling, GeniusGirl sez: "Ruby color, espresso!" and she’s right. That’s about the only thing you see in the beer. Espresso taste. Very smooth. It’s really the raw espresso taste you get here, but its still smooth! Good lacing, coats the side of glass. A slight off-note with the flavor, unsure of what to make of that. crazyvin (1252), New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 27, 2003 O.K. but not great. Most of the stouts that I've had have had a touch of sweetness to them, which I like. This one doesn't. Drinkable, but I've had better stouts.
