Draft at Fenway 2/20/09. Pours a dull red color with a small white head. Nose is caramel and sweet, lightly hoppy. Smooth palate. Flavor is sweet with some hop notes and a decent bite.

Served in a tulip glass, with class (does this also save them on ounces doled out?). Rosy bodied and flowery tasteing, like I stuffed my mouth full of a field of wildflowers. Not exactly what I was expecting. Some grape flavor to the brew as well. I liked it, but probably would have liked the flavor influences combination re-jigged a little differently. Crafted well enough that the high ABV doesn’t hit your brain too hard, however.

Light brown with rubu highlights in color and a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, spice , caramel and brown sugar. Flavors of clove and spice, coyingly sweet with a slick mouthfeel.

Slightly dark color with ruby tones. Lightly malted fruity aroma. Very smooth drinking, slightly sweet with a mild mix of citrus and malt with a bit of hoppieness.

Color was a dark caramel. Aroma, malty and lightly sweet. Both quite pleasing. The flavor was malty and sweet w/faint hoppy and roasted overtones. It was rather thin, though, not very robust. There was slight carbonation visible, but it tasted kinda flat. Almost one dimensional. No body at all.

Strong flavor with a medium body. A slight taste of alcohol which was not too overpowering but you definitely feel it.
