Commercial Description:
"In fermento veritas." Bière aux 10 épices (10 spices) BeerMania is not a brewery, the "Mea Culpa" (or Mea Maxima Culpa, the same in 75cl bottle - there is even Ultima Culpa, but that's an incredibly large artsy glass) is brewed upon Nassers' own recipe at a Belgian brewery. He declines sofar to tell which, untill he has all contracts signed and papers worked out...

This is ’’the house beer’’ at Beer Mania in Brussels. It is the invention of the Nasser (the proprietor) and comes in a very unusual glass and is really pretty good. The clientele at this store/cafe is decidedly beer-geeky, so perhaps Nasser just brews to a geek’s taste. It is a substantial but very drinkable beer. A regular visitor to this site could probably have this as a session beer. It poured a dark yellow with a very fine champagne-like head. Aroma was clovey and densely malty and bread-y. Flavor was very malty, but not in an overly sweet cereal-y or grain-y way. Mouthfeel was a bit chalk-y and rough, but not bad. I would recommend this beer; I thought it to be pretty good. I had a bottle at Beer Mania in Brussels.

Bottle. Clear golden with a big rocky head. Herbal and spicy aroma, hints of yeast and sweet vegetables. Spicy rye bread flavours together with fruit and yeast. A bit too sweet, but good complexity.

enjoyed in the maxima form. light and bubbly it is quiet and a little boring. it brings fruity and spicy flavors maybe starfuit or other light fruit and a less traditional spice.

750ml bottle @Joe’s NYC Gathering courtesy of beastiefan2k–pours a foamy white head with yellow color. Aroma is yeast, grain, earthy hops. Taste is dry, yeast, grain, earthy hops-clove, some sweetness offsets the dry @ the finish. Nice.

Bottle provided by Eugene. Very spicy aroma, cumin, yeast, black pepper. Assertive and very Belgian in flavor, with a full, strong yeasty body. Well defined. Maybe this just tastes better because it came after so much crap, though.
