Citrusy fruits and grassy hops.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2006 Similar but different from the Expedition IPA. The English hops have disappeared, and hops are added three times instead of five. Nice citrusy aroma. Golden amber color. Decent and persistent head. Very good taste of citrus hop. Malt bursts through at midpoint, then the hops return for the finish. It may be a bit thin, but it’s very clean, very refreshing. PorterPounder (3145), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Medium orange pour, very murky with a frothy white head that leaves good lacing. Fresh hoppy aroma, hints of mint and a produce stand at a farmer’s market. Flavor is tangy and somewhat spicy. Requisite grapefruity west coast hoppiness is omnipresent with hints of cinnamon, mint and maple syrup. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. Not bad at all. STEPHENDR (478), California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 4, 2008 Jesse brought back a whole slew of beer from Vegas that we can’t get out here. This is one of them. Thanks amigo. This one pours an orange honey color with a full lingering froth. I really like it when you pour a beer right from the fridge and it throws up on you this huge head. Good stuff! Sticky lacing leads to a spongy island that floats in the midst of a full, fluffy ring. Aromas are a little weak with sweet sodium malts and shellfish. Full nectar with mellow residual effers. The texture is a bit oily. This is a malt bomb yet not so sweet. It has a strict hop essence that penetrates the flabby goomeister. Some nuances of caramel, sodium, hop acids, and shellfish. This brew has remakable balance. The finish is bittered wisely leaving a lingering citrus rind component to ponder. GG (1648), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 16, 2009 A nice beer that is fairly local, although it’s brewed up in Lincoln. Still, an enjoyable IPA on a hot day. Flavor is grapefruits with a nice sweet context with it, like a granola bar dipped in orange juice. Aroma has a pronounced citrus/pine zing to it with a balance of caramel. A by-the-books IPA, but it’s done well. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Bottle. Large of-white frothy, fizzy head that mostly diminished, fair lacing, hazy, carbonated, and an orange, some copper and brown hue. Nose was hoppy, some maltiness, spicy notes, and some notes of oranges. Flavor was hoppy, hint of malt, spicy, and lightly tangy. Mouthfeel was slightly tingly. Medium body. Not a style that’s high on my favorites list, but this one was decent. fiulijn (7400), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 23, 2007 Hazy amber color; too much foam; nice lace. And indeed the aroma shows some overfermentation or infection, soap, above fruity hops. Good malty flavor, well structured, with a good American hopping. Too bad that the bottle suffered.
