~Pours black with creamy off white head.
~Malty coffee and chocolate aroma.
~Chocolate and coffee flavor.
~Palate was a bit dry. Bitter aftertaste.
~Decent stout. Nice chocolate coffee flavoring.

May 21, 2006 This dark brown ale poured with a thin tan head. The flavor is of chocolate and coffee with a very malty finish.

Feb 25, 2004 Lots of roasted coffee flavor in this one. A bit lighter than I was expecting for a stout. Smooth after taste.

Sep 26, 2003 An average stout, albeit a smooth one. Beermann's is a solid brewer, but I'd stick with the red or, if you can get it, the almighty bourbon barleywine.
