| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Mar 4, 2003 Medium gold color. Medium head. Aroma is lightly malty and slightly hoppy. A medium bodied, very mellow lager. It fairly malty and hoppy for a lager, and there is some fruitiness as well. It most definitely a lager, but it has none of the bad qualities of a lager. Very smooth taste. Light and refreshing. Would be an excellent hot summer day beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 31, 2005 12 bottle. Poured golden yellow with decent head. The head shifted to a nice ring of suds that left lacing the whole glass. Aromas were hoppy and slightly sweet. Which made the dry finish a bit of a suprise. Flavors of malt and some very nice bitterness. A little spicey flavor as well. A very fresh beer. One of few lager type beers I have found to like. GregClow (2515), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2005 Bottle from Trader Joe’s, San Diego - shared with blankboy, HogTownHarry and tupalev. Nice bright golden colour. Really nice aroma - some honey sweetness, fruity/grassy hops, and fresh bread. Flavour starts with some biscuity malt, develops some nice sweetness in the middle, and had a long, well-hopped finish. A really nice surprise for something I picked up completely at random. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 21, 2005 A decent Lager. Pours a nice golden color with a rather thin head. Easy drinking, available at a good price at Trader Joe’s. I would most definitely drink it again, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way for it. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 3, 2005 Shared with blankboy, GregClow and hogtown harry, bottle courtesy of GregClow. Dark yellow, small white head. Fresh grain aroma. Very nice sweet grain taste - struck me as very original. Lightly hopped. Almost a bubblegum hint (?) - yeast? Alcohol is 4.67? Really? I thought it tasted around 6 (this is good). A little bit of a spicy bite. Nice, certainly a little different than the average Ontario micro lager. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 26, 2006 Bottle on May 9, 2006. This blonde ale poured with a thin white head. There is a crisp full lager flavor with a quite yeasty finish. The mouthfeel is very carbonated. I’m not a fan of lagers, but this one was quite enjoyable. akinm (282), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2002 Got it for the cool name and I was glad that I did. Golden color is crystal clear with lots of bubbles. the aroma carries the light hoppiness of pilseners. the taste is surprising. Fruity features, a hint of green apple shows up in the background. Diffinite floral hops but the fruitiness in this one excites me. Very carbonated, bubbly and light in the mouth. Great while camping in the Tahoe National Forest too.
