Bottle. Pitch black beer with a relatively strong brown head. The aroma is weakly roasted, and the flavour is weakly bitter, very watery , slightly sour and weakly roasted. Overall a below average quite weakly roasted and yeasty beer.

Bottle conditioned. Black with a thin beige head. Aromas are sweet caramel and coffee with hints of honey. Some sweet oats with even more caramel coming through. Flavours are sweet caramel and chocolate malts with a light, earthy roast character. Some honey notes towards the finish with lemon. Smooth on the palate. Very decent.
