Fruity and a little roast aroma. Small tan head. Dark red coloured smooth on the palate and fruity with a crisp dry and slightly bitter roast finish. DruncanVeasey (2753), The Penguin’s Arms, Europe, Warwickshire, England

Lactic tang, cocoa and smoke. Festival splash of sourness. Lingers nicely, but a bit feeble-bodied and not wholly convincing. More chocolate as it warms. Won me over. This was named the best stout of the festival and it was very good, especially impressive coming from a brewery that’s only been in operation for a few weeks. It’s got a rich palate and a smoky aroma. The flavour is full on roasted coffee and caramel with a delightful smoky quality. Definitely moreish.
