Dark ruby color, moderate head of foam, big fruity nose. Robust fruity palate is packed with apple-pear character, nice malt backbone, barely balancing hops in the finish.

Hmmm who the fuck would drink this with a lobster? Not me. Hell no. dark gold pour. Malty and grainy aroma. Flavor is watery and flat. Nope. Fail.

Pours clear copper with thin loose tan head. The aroma is crystal malts, malts and little else. The taste is full with crystal malts moving toward caramel, raisins and a touch of pine hops. It ends with lingering caramel, slight malt roastiness and fading vague hoppiness.

12 oz bottle. Amber in color with a small - medium off white head. Aroma of some caramel, a touch of chocolate, mild fruit, a touch of butterscotch. Taste: some light caramel malts, light chocolate, mild earthy hops, some slight butterscotch, lightly astringent malty finish. Light bitterness in the finish, light bodied.

Bottle from Total Wine St. Pete (from now on just called TWSP). Pours medium brown with reddish tints with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is malt, brown sugar, hops, red winey fruit. Tastes caramel malty, with molasses, earthy brown sugar, and some grapey warming notes.

Bottle consumed while shopping in Boothbay Maine. Moderate coppper in glass. thin head dissipates instantaneously. Thin, wormy lacing rings the glass and soon dropps to oblivion. The boring and flatline body does little to quench my thirst. A metallic tang finish. Blah

12oz bottle 7/8/09 (Binny’s Naperville)-Pours amber with a small off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and slight hops. Taste is of the same with a bit of hops and dryness on the back end. This medium bodied brew is pretty weak.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of butter, Ringwood yeast, slight oak leaves, slight maple, and some malts. Typical Shipyard shit-smelling beer. "Big fruity nose" my ass; there is NO fruit in the aroma. Poured amber/orange in color with a small, off-white head that diminished but lasted as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Flavor is slight sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of hops, Ringwood yeast, dried leaves, slight butter, and a hint of maple. Light to medium body. Thin, dry texture. Average carbonation. Dry, malt and maple finish. Quite bad.
