Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Nov 6, 2003 Cloudy tan. Fruity, citrusy hops in the nose. Tastes like a soft, English-style bitterness to start, but the bitterness picks up in assertiveness as you go. Appetizing. This subtle angle would definitely work if you’re in the mood for an IPA that is bitter but not over the top. Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA Nov 21, 2002 Deep golden color with a medium thick head. Sweet lemony hop aroma. Sweet fruity hop flavor with a hoppy finish. Medium bodied and smooth. Volgon (2487), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Nov 3, 2002 On tap Maine Brewers Fest 2002: Clear yellow/orange color with an English IPA nose. Fizzy mouthfeel, ends bitter and slightly stale. Mellow and easy to drink. Sammys (428), Portland, Maine, USA Oct 9, 2001 I’m convinced that Belfast Bay cannot get a beer wrong. Their oatmeal stout is the best around, period. This was a wonderful IPA, nicely hopped but not overpowering.
