Bottle from Porterhouse, Thanks Kevin! Nose of dark chocolate and roastiness;;opaque black with cherry highlights on the edges and a thick tan head that disappears rather quickly; flavor of coffee, chocolate and burnt toast; mouthfeel is fizzy nad the finish has some light hop notes. Underrated beer!

Bottle: Pours black with a medium tan head, apples and alcohol in the aroma, fizzy texture, light bodied for the style, starts and ends sweet with a cardboard aftertaste.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a dark brown opaque color with a big, fluffy coffee colored head, which dissolves into bubbles around the edges. Aroma is of soap and roasted malts. Taste is of roasted malts and is quite acidic. Watery texture with soapy notes.

Aquired from porterhouse. Thank you. Pours black with huge tan head. It actually raised about an inch above the rim and stayed there. Beautiful pour!!! Aroma is massive dark chocolate and burnt malts. Flavor is great. Big coffee and bitter malts. I also noticed some mild hops.

Bottle - Pours very dark, almost black with a creamy dark tan head. Aroma is of very dark black patent malt. Almost no hop aroma. Flavor is very dark roasted malt… almost a burnt flavor to it. A good stout... but the burnt flavor detracts from the overall experience.

12 oz bottle, via porterhouse. Pours a very dark black body with a one inch dark brown head that faded to a thin film quickly. No sediment in bottle. Nice roasted malt and oatmeal aroma with some dark chocolate as well as cherry and light vanilla. Flavor is dry and roasted with some burnt malt coming out on the lightly hoppy finish. Very full flavored. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with active fizzy carbonation. Texture is more watery than anything else with a little chalkiness on the finish. Overall, a pretty good beer. Full of flavor, and a really nice surprise.

Courtesy of Porterhouse <!-- P --> Aroma is very strong with burnt malts, chocolate and brownie mix with a very steady and concentrated roasted coffee element. Deep black body with a sustained thumb thick mocha head. fFore is burnt roasty malts with some mild sweet cream and cocoa. Slightyly dirty tasting in the middle and the bitterness recedes in the later stages. There are slight metallic and tart elelments in the finish that ruin an otherwise decent brew.

12oz bottle best before 4/06 thanks to Porterhouse. Black in color with a medium sized, creamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma with some coffee and dark chocolate as well. Mildly sweet on first sip, with flavors of coffee, roasted malt, chocolate and a bit of lactic tartness. Finishes somewhat bitter.
