Pours pitch black with a dark tan head that is pretty big. Nose is roasted malts that have a very slightly smoked quality to it. Flavor is heavily smoked malts. Off the first sip I wonder if it will be too much. We shall see. Interesting. Something just hit my brain. Blue cheese. You know that funky edge you get off some blue cheeses? That is what I just pulled off this, and in a firm way. Feel has a full carbonation and the liquid is good too. Overall a good stout. Definitely well bodied and with a defined character. Worth trying.

The pour is black with a large thick tan head that is mostly lasting. The aroma is heavy on the roasted malt with semi sweet chocolate and a hint of licorice. The flavor is heavy on the roasted malt but also includes some dark fruit, an acidic sourness, coffee notes, and dark chocolate that has been slightly burnt. I like this better if I drink it fast. Dry finish, medium bodied. This is OK. Obtained in a trade with alldaydrinker. Thanks Jeff.

12oz. bottle into pint glass. Pours a dark black color, with a super-thick, tan colored head that laces beautifully. Heavy aromas of rolled oats, and roasted malts, with hints of coffee. Flavor is of oats, coffee, and some chocolate with a strong bitter-sweet finish that hits the back of your mouth! Has a soft, smooth finish. Not bad, but not my favorite.

Pours black into the English Pint with a very dark, two inch tan head. Very chocolatety, coffee-like aroma. An espresso hint up front gave way to a coffee taste and a dry, chocolate sweet finish. Unlike other sweet stouts that I have tried...very robust, but seemed to be all over the place.

12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a moderate-large tan head that faded after several sips. Aroma of coffee, wet cardboard, and just a bit of roasted malt. The flavor was surprisingly harsh for an oatmeal stout with charred malt, wet cardboard, and tobacco the dominant flavors. Medium bodied. Not worth revisiting.

A pretty classic oatmeal stout. It pours deep black with nice notes of grains and nuts. Choclate on the late finish but a nice hearty stout!

Pours a nice black with a massive high carbed head- soapy looking moderate bubbles and no lace. Aroma is sweet caramel, light nuts and chocolate some coffee and herbal and grassy hints. Very sharp black malt character in the flavor- with nuts, light sweetness, and tons of acrid black malt bitterness and very "green" grassy and harsh even.

Bottle received via trade with porterhouse. Pours opaque with a huge, frothy, dark brown head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (coffee, burnt grain, nutty), average hops (flowers, grass), average yeast (dough, leather) with notes of tar, charcoal, and dust. Full bodied, foamy texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
