On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 2nd May 09. Cloudy amber looks. Wonderful fruit & alcohol aroma. Great flavour with lots of herb and blackcurrant flavours.

Bottle Hazy gold with a large off-white foam. Aromas are biscuit malts with pineapple and lemon. Hoppy with grapefruit and hints of pine. Flavours are dried apricot and pineapple with lots of grapefruit bitterness. Yeasty and dry with peppery hops on the finish. Good.

Huge, slightly yellowish tinted head over yellow, not quite clear beer. Aroma from hops, vanilla ice-cream, fruitshake, canned fruitmacédoine, and meaty ester. Outspoken frangipane/marzipan flavour, but because of the reasonably high bitterness, it’s as if those were prepared with bitter almonds. The head, weirdly enough, does taste LESS bitter, and has this vanilla/ice cream streak in it, as well as hopflavour, rather than bitterness. Underneath, after some warming up, sweet canned pineapple syrup. Not very well-bodied, light and quite quaffable. So far, hands down the best Belgoo try I’ve had. Strange, but inviting.

Cloudy yellow, with a big white head. Aroma of spice and tropical fruit with a mineral note. Really hoppy flavour, with tropical fruits and yeast. While not a fan of Belgian yeast being too overpowering, I quite like hops.

Tap in Lowlander. Alround rating: This was on the menu as a wheat beer at 6%. Aroma is fresh green hoppyness, spicey pepperyness, some orangeslight cloviness, good carbonation and body. Excellent stuff.

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle.
Pours muddy yellow, giant, frothy, off-white head. Dissipates in big bubbles; rather slowly. Aroma has butterscotch, brett, yeast, biscuity sweetness and a touch of oranges. Medium carbonation, fine, dry mouthfeel. Flavour is very dry. Good grassy hops, some brett, lemony zest. Spicy and yeasty in the long, lingering, dry finish. Very nice and lightly warming.
