bottle, golden/light yellow colour, smells deliciously grainy. Fruity, grainy, citrus. A rather classic but very refreshing and well balanced witbier.

Nice clear orange tinted golden coloured body with a thick perfectly micro-bubbled white head - brilliant! Aroma of yeast, coriander seed, curacao, wheat, alcohol, a light spiceyness and a slight bit of corn. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive yeast and wheat flavours up front with a mild malty, dry grassiness following behind with a light hop kick and some subtle spices. Aftertastes are very light, not showing too terribly much - but some good dry tastes definitely show up. Overall, a pretty good and rather mild Belgie - definitely worth trying if you like typical Belgian ales like Duvel. This reminds me of that beer with a bit less complexity and some more muted characteristics. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Beer Mania in Bruxelles, Belgium on 17-November-2008, sampled on 19-April-2009 at home in Washington.

Coloração característica de cerveja Weiss: âmbar amarelada e turva. Espuma branca volumosa, densa e duradoura. Presença de micro sedimentos no fundo da taça. Notas cítricas, talvez laranja, além de um certo "tempero". Leve amargor. Aroma e sabor muito parecidos, bons. Álcool bem inserido no conjunto. Carbonatação média. Parece uma Hoegaarden, só que um pouco mais robusta.

Cloudy yellow with a lasting white head. Strong yeasty aroma, with exotic fruits and spices, and some herbal hops. Fruity and yeasty, rather sweet flavour.

750ml from Sam’s, Durham. Fairly deep, lustrous golden color on the pour, with moderate head and lacing. Nose is somewhat yeasty, with an almost wit-like character in some sense. The taste and especially the dry finish are closer to a hybrid of a singel and a tart blonde. Slight sour apple emerges as you get further into the beer, with faintly pleasing peppery sharpness. Not a bad beer, just not much personality.

Bottle. Pours clear light orange with an average, frothy, white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw, cereal), average hops (grass), heavy yeast (barnyard, earth) with notes of grape, cask, chalk, and bandage. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.
