Golden colour and hazy. White head, lasting. Aroma is sweet and a bit acid. Flavor is astringent, sweet and acid. Dry texture.

330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks 2009)
Very fruity aroma - apples and even peach in places. Lively carbonation. Fruity taste too, accompanies a gentle but tasty grainy body with a pleasant acidity. Finish is gently but tasty buddy green hops. a touch grassy, but very nice. Covers thte alcohol very well. Very simple, but very good for that simpleness. After trying the magus I wasn’t expecting much from the maxus, but was pleasantly surprised.

(Bottle at One Pint Pub Belgian weeks ’09 -- shared with Sinensis and hkkl, thanks!) Hazy golden. Medium sized white head. Fruity, yesty and sweet aroma. Fruitiness, bitterness, coriander and sweetness in taste. Fruity and bitter aftertaste.

Slight gushing to huge, dense & fine-bubbled head; hazy golden beer with an amber shine. Good lace. Spicy nose, white candi sugar, and I seem to get faint coriander; citrus. Lots of yeasty esters. Bitterish-spicy taste, again white candi sugar (...), liquorice in the finish. Less citrussy than the nose, and less dry than expected. Bit sticky MF, rather well-bodied. Overall well-conceived, even if more hop-presence as better attenuation, would have served it well. Thanks to Ignace for the bottle-watch!

Bottle, pours hazy golden with a medium sized, moustly dimnishing, foamy head. Nose of light malt, grain and yeast. Medium sweet flavour with malt and citrus. Medium bodied. Ends up more dry and slightly bitter. Enjoyable.
