Very fruity aroma - apples and even peach in places. Lively carbonation. Fruity taste too, accompanies a gentle but tasty grainy body with a pleasant acidity. Finish is gently but tasty buddy green hops. a touch grassy, but very nice. Covers thte alcohol very well. Very simple, but very good for that simpleness. After trying the magus I wasn’t expecting much from the maxus, but was pleasantly surprised. BoBoChamp (1445), Gent, Belgium

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Bottle from La Maison Belge in Puerto de la Cruz, Canary Islands. The beer is a cloudy golden orange color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast and fruits along with some grassy hops. Medium body with flavors of fruit, grainy malt, yeast and hops. The finish is fruity with a lingering yeast aftertaste. Slightly above average overall. Ungstrup (15460), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 6, 2009 Bottled. An unclear golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and fruit as well as light notes of yeast. The flavor is fruity combined with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a dry and bitter finish. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 11, 2009 Slight gushing to huge, dense & fine-bubbled head; hazy golden beer with an amber shine. Good lace. Spicy nose, white candi sugar, and I seem to get faint coriander; citrus. Lots of yeasty esters. Bitterish-spicy taste, again white candi sugar (...), liquorice in the finish. Less citrussy than the nose, and less dry than expected. Bit sticky MF, rather well-bodied. Overall well-conceived, even if more hop-presence as better attenuation, would have served it well. Thanks to Ignace for the bottle-watch!
