Amber copper body with a thick cream fingers worth of head that leaves superb lacing on the glass. Creamy grainy aroma with a very similar flavour. (6+) Creamy and mildly grainy character. (6+) Smooth, creamy average palate. (3+) Decent but fairly mild overall. GregClow (2499), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 12, 2008 Draught pint (as Belhaven Best) at The Abbot on the Hill. Light golden with a two-finger snow white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Mild aroma of cereal and faint hops. Very creamy mouthfeel - nitrokeg, I’m guessing. Mellow flavour, with the same cereal character found in the aroma, and a faintly hopped finish. It certainly didn’t offend me, but there’s not much in the way of character or... well, anything else, really. Rastacouere (5560), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Very light, cerealic and pretty much nothing else, offering of a hazy amber colour and nitro head. Stunningly bland as it tries to develop its soul around graininess, but fails as vegetals peak up in the shape of corn. Simple and poor flavoured. Light foamy palate. Very dull drink. Smooth in an utterly unisteresting way. Echoes of malt cry out through the chilled and nitro-enriched beer. harrisoni (6828), Ashford, Kent, England

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 12, 2007 Mine was called Belhaven’s Best. Weak flavor due to the low alcohol content. I could drink this like water. Slightly sweet caramel malt flavor, but no traces of hops. Nuffield (2724), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 15, 2007 I had this last night under the name "Belhaven Best" on tap at a pub where I went for the music. It was pretty weak. Amber color, little head (though it wasn’t cask, just regular). The flavor was, er, vaguely malty and a hint of caramel but mostly very plain and borderline flavorless. Nothing offensive but still very dull. Smooth but not particularly rich palate. (on tap, Park Bar, Argyle Street, Glasgow) MesandSim (5940), London, Greater London, England

Tap at the Lion in West Hampstead. Bitter looks with an artificial nitro looking head. Metallic hoppy nose. Wheaty nose with some sweet malt, slight hops, more metal and maybe some nuts. Malty and barely apparent finish. Watery palate. Bleh.
