Aroma is of slow roasted peanuts/malt with very little, if any, faint straw. Flavor is of roasted peanuts and malt. Beer is not effervecent and consistency is like water. Excellent beer, but not an everyday sort of beer. This is the best looking non-black beer I've seen. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit. Britales (56), Cape Charles, Virginia, USA

Beautiful amber color, and just superb balance! I have had it on cask and it is the perfect session beer! I am prejudiced but they are the most consistant brewery in Scotland! Pours a deep amber, with a thick white head, as is to be expected in the nitro can. Looks great, makes me feel like I'm at the pub. Aroma is very much the bitter style. Malty and slightly fruity, with a bit of hopping in the back. Flavor is creamy and malty, with a nice nutty finish. Reminds me of that same aftertaste you get when you eat hazelnuts. Balance like whoa. I can't tell where the malts begin and the hops end. Awesome. I'd love to drink a cask of this. PieTaster (32), Humpton, California, USA

Aromas of peat malt, scotch whiskey. There’s not alot of hop action, but overall I would say it’s a very drinkable, nicely made concoction. Would make excellent patio beer for grilling etc. Can drink gallons of the stuff as it’s only 3.9 ABV. Very pretty in a pint glass. DerBiermeister (516), Birmingham, Alabama, USA

When poured it has a similar to Guinness cloudy-look, but it is creamier and whiter. The taste is smooth and unobtrusive, almost taciturn, but nonetheless pleasant and reassuring, a solace in times of trouble. Good, and with a smoothness akin to Gordon Biersch's Marzen. jerohen (1614), Bussum, Netherlands

Clear red-brown coloured, creamy head. Malty and bitter aroma and flavour. Superbly smooth. Sampled in some pub in Edinburgh. I like Edinburgh, and i like this beer :-).
