Bottle from LCBO- Pours sparkling gold qith a medium sized white froth. Aroma is faux blueberries, sugary coolers, with some hopping that adds a pleasant balance. Taste is powered blueberry candy, sugars, slight hops bitterness, and a tad corny. FInish is spritzy, sweet fruit, off dry. This would please most fruit beer lovers, and would do well to convert cooler drinkers into trying beer. It works.

Tasted in Toronto. Obtained from LCBO as part of the summer series. Tasted in dimple mug. Appearance is light yellow, clear with thin white head. Aroma of blueberries (go figure) candy floss and sweetness personified. Flavour has blueberry essence and some thick disgusting richness.

Like Greg, I love Blueberries otherwise I would have passed this one up. 500ml bottle puts a clear pale straw beer in the glass with a small 1/2 in. cap that reduces to a light lace. The aroma is overwhelmingly blueberry but has a synthetic quality to it...kind of like perfume... light grains just barely detected and that’s it...2 dimensional nose to it. Light body, weak malt spine liquid mouth feel and a sharp, tart, dry character. Up front the tongue is pummeled with some damnable "essence" that approximates Blueberry this is soon balanced by a dry pilsner like taste that gives the impression of a sour cider but with enough grains in the taste to detct the dry pilsner in its base....finish is fast sharp/crisp and dry with little afertaste. Well I can at least say I tried it...won’t be back for more.

Aroma consisted of forest wild blueberry, darker and pale malt. Pale gold with fine white top. Font impression of bitter, metallic carbonation followed with sweet blueberry notes. Body felt thin and so did this beer was somewhat shallow. There is also woody British hop character that combined with what I noted above gave this beer rather poor impression.

It had a nice blue berry taste I just wish the beer was a bit more complex.

Bottle, LCBO Summer Release (made for the Ontario market I believe). Light yellow, frothy white head. Pleasant sharp blueberry aroma. Some hops present and almost a pepper like quality - I liked it. Taste isn’t too bad! Surprised at the pils style of the base beer (was expecting a more heart ale from Belhaven) - but served nice and cold this works. Pleasant soft blueberries (no artificial notes) and also lots of lemon and grapefruit. As it warms, it isn’t near as enjoyable, but again, serve it frosty cold and what you have is a decent fruit beer that aims to quench.

Has a distinctly funky smell that I can’t put my finger on, but it’s surprisingly pale, tempered and refreshing. Underripe blueberries and cereals dominate, with a slight underscore of crisp, mild lager. Slightly woody, not too sweet.
