Fruty rasperry flavour. I’m generally not a big fan of fruit beers, but this was mildly refreshing and not too bad to sip out on the patio. AlphaOne (142), Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2004 Reddish golden colouration, fair head. Aroma is smokey, toasty malt, with a stong fruity background, mostly strawberry and a bit of blackcurrent. A little caramel is at first apparent, a fair amount of dark berries, currant and raspberrys, vanilla, earthy, woody flavour, the beer is quite dry, with toasty smokey malt, and a little earthy hop character. pintbypint (1006), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 24, 2004 Sampled from 500ml brown bottle. This beer had a very light sugary aroma of red fruit (strawbery and raspberry). It was copper coloured with a white head. It had a brief sweet start (again red fruit) and then gets into some light malt flavour and ends kind of bitter. I let it warm up a bit and a bit more malt and fruit flavouring came through. The label shows a variety of field berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries) but I really don’t detect very much fruit at all. In fact the ingredients list "fruit flavouring". Overall, a touch to much bitterness and not enough fruit character. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

But it’s fun; smells like ripe berries, tastes more like artificial fruit with a malty backwash but I found it strangely enjoyable. Aurelius (2648), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 2, 2004 Vanilla, berry and pipe tobacco aroma. Light peaty gold, bad label, good 500 ml bottle. Furit totally overpowers the beer, and I end up with a pricey alcopop. Body is thin with only a mild aftertaste of fruit and hops. Bittering builds over time. Disappointing and unremarkable. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 27, 2004 Bottle from Asda, Perry Barr, Birmingham. Ruddy gold, with a good white head. Nice aroma - sweet, light and cheekily fruity. Thin mouthfeel. Blackcurrant flavour for sure - not too dramatic, but it’s alright. A clear lagery background with Ribena sprinkled overhead. dreamboat (186), Brisbane, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 14, 2004 Light brown, lightly carbonated with a thin, weak head. Mixed berry aroma - strawberries, boysenberries, and a hint of candy sweetness. Thin. slightly fruity, mild ale taste. Lacking the complexity of fruit flavours hinted in the aroma, but at least not cloyed with syrupy sweetness.
