| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Jan 14, 2008 Tap at Gingerman, post-2nd Houston Tasting. Pours a beautiful jet-black with a solid cream head. Raisiny chocolate nose with just a hint of smoke. Tastes like a bastardized mixture of molasses and raisin. Full mouthfeel. Not a good stout, in my opinion. travita (1952), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Taster at the Flying Saucer. Black in color with a decent (beautiful looking) head. Dark coffee and toffee aromas. Chocolate and prune notes in the flavor. First time I had ever heard of this beer. Tasting card says it’s a world premier, another above average but not awesome beer from Belhaven.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 8, 2008 Appears brown in the glass, with a spider-like, wispy and thin head that is nearly white, maybe a little tan. Aroma is mainly dominated by dark fruits (grapes, plums, apples), but also has some very light notes of cocoa, caramel and cookie. Flavor is pretty well balanced for a dead, filtered beer. Dark fruits, with hints of caramel, cocoa. It’s a fairly decent beer. SudsMcDuff (1703), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2009 Pitch black pour. Little aroma. Mostly dark malts. Taste has a lot of dark heavy malts. Not a lot of coffee or chocolate which I was hoping for but not bad. Founders blows this away though. jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA
