Oct 14, 2007 Tap at the Fort Worth Flying Saucer Octoberfest. Black pour with slight hints of red at the edges, creamy looking tan head. Some coffee and roastiness on the nose with the familiar British yeast notes. Slick smooth mouthfell. Flavor is coffee bitterness, followed by some tartness, finishes dry.

Feb 28, 2009 On tap at Flying Saucer. Has a dark brown with a creamy light tan head that lasts awhile. The aroma is a roasted malt with chocolate and smoke. Good sticky lacing along the glass. The taste is a roasted coffee and caramel. Easy to drink a good imperial stout from Belhaven.

Jan 31, 2009 Tasted at the Flying Saucer in 2007. Black in color with agood sized beige. Aroma is of dark chocolate, prunes, and light roast coffee. Taste is of coffee, roasted malt and dark fruits.

Oct 8, 2007 Taster at the Flying Saucer. Black in color with a decent (beautiful looking) head. Dark coffee and toffee aromas. Chocolate and prune notes in the flavor. First time I had ever heard of this beer. Tasting card says it’s a world premier, another above average but not awesome beer from Belhaven.

Oct 23, 2007 Draft at FW Saucer. Pours brown to black, kinda clear with a khaki nitro head. Aroma was very light, but I can’t blame the beer itself for that. Light chocolate, nuts, herbs (tea or something) and citronella candles. Tastes of dark chocolate, french roast coffee, light vanilla, some toffee, and butterscotch and it becomes nutty and earthy on the finish. Very pleasant aftertaste. Creamy, medium bodied, and no heat presence. A very easy going imperial stout.

Jan 15, 2008 Tap at Gman after the 2nd Houston Tasting. Great black color with nice creamy head. Nose of chocolate and faint pitted fruits. Flavor is creamy chocolate, raisin and coffee. Enjoyable.

Apr 1, 2008 Tap at Falling Rock. Dark black beer with thin tan head. Strong bitter chocolate and sour flavors. Very roasty. More thin than I was expecting for an imperial stout.
